Jonathan Chan

Jonathan Chan is a Partner in Dentons Rodyk's Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice, specialising in Family Law. His practice covers the full range of family law and estate matters, including niche areas in children matters and cross-border and jurisdictional issues.

Jonathan is a Singapore Mediation Centre-accredited mediator with significant experience in both mediation and courtroom advocacy across all levels of the Family Justice Courts and High Court. He has represented clients in high‑profile matters, including landmark child relocation cases such as UYJ v UYK and UYK v UYJ, and has handled complex cross‑border family matters, child abduction cases, and child access enforcement proceedings. He has also co‑authored the Annotated Laws of Singapore: Women's Charter and contributed to Chambers Global Practice Guides on child relocation.

Jonathan holds an LL.B. (Hons) from University College London and a Bachelor of Civil Law (BCL) from the University of Oxford.
