Tan Wee Meng is a Partner and Head of Telecommunications in the Energy, Infrastructure and Projects Practice at Allen & Gledhill LLP, specialising in telecommunications law. He is a seasoned practitioner with more than 20 years of experience advising key clients in the media and telecommunications, energy and infrastructure industries, as well as on government and public‑private partnership (PPP) projects. He works extensively in Singapore and Myanmar, and throughout the region, including Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Laos and Brunei.

He has unique in‑depth experience and understanding of the telecommunications and media industries in Singapore and internationally. He was involved in advising industry players from before market liberalisation and has guided clients through industry transformations to the current converged and competitive market. He advised on Singapore's Next Generation Nationwide Broadband Network (NGNBN) Project, including acting for the OpenNet consortium selected to design, build and operate the passive infrastructure, and advised SingTel on the sale of infrastructure assets and the subsequent S$2.3 billion IPO and listing of NetLink NBN Trust. He has also advised on major infrastructure PPP projects across the region, including projects relating to petrochemical plants, LNG, clean energy and renewables, water treatment and tank storage terminals. He is regulatory counsel to key industry players in Singapore's liberalised telecommunications, broadcasting, gas, electricity and transport sectors. He also advises clients on general corporate aspects including employment terms, incentive plans, investigations, and restrictive covenants.

Tan Wee Meng holds an LL.B. (Hons) from the National University of Singapore and was admitted to the Singapore Bar in 1997.
