Thian Wen Yi

Thian Wen Yi is a Partner in the Family and Divorce Practice Group at Harry Elias Partnership LLP, focusing on Divorce Law. She has led many disputes over custody, maintenance, and division of assets, and has advised on cross-border issues such as relocation and international child abduction.

She also helps clients with out-of-court settlements and non-contentious matters such as postnuptial agreements and wills.

Wen Yi is a member of the Singapore Association of Women Lawyers and volunteers at legal clinics. She gives talks on divorce and maintenance issues and participates in law reform consultations. She was invited by the Ministry of Law to discuss family justice system reforms and is part of the Family Law and Children’s Rights Working Group of the Singapore Academy of Law.

Her recognitions include ‘Leading Practitioner’ in Doyle’s Guide’s Singapore Family and Divorce Leading Lawyers 2026, ‘Recommended Practitioner’ in the same guide (2021–2025), and ‘Future Star’ for Family and Matrimonial by Benchmark Litigation Asia Pacific (2024–2026). She was named among Singapore’s 18 most influential lawyers aged 40 and under by Singapore Business Review in 2021.

Wen Yi holds an LLB (Hons) from the National University of Singapore and is a member of the Singapore Academy of Law, the Singapore Association of Women Lawyers and The Law Society of Singapore.
