Abhinav Bhushan

Abhinav Bhushan is a Director (Foreign Law) in the Dispute Resolution practice at Drew & Napier, specializing in international arbitration and dispute resolution with a focus on India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Australia and Europe. He is the first Indian lawyer to be hired by the ICC Court as its Deputy Counsel and later as the first Indian Director of the ICC Court for South Asia in Singapore.

He has administered hundreds of commercial arbitration cases and also sits as an arbitrator in ICC, SIAC, LMAA and ad hoc matters across sectors such as energy, aviation, construction, commercial disputes and shipbuilding. He has been appointed to the Reserve Panel of Arbitrators of the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC), the Panel of Arbitrators of the Shanghai Arbitration Commission, the Vienna International Arbitration Centre, and the Asia International Arbitration Centre (AIAC). Notable appointments include serving as presiding arbitrator in an ICC arbitration in the aviation sector, sole arbitrator in SIAC and ICC arbitrations in the F&B and energy sectors, and co‑arbitrator in multiple LMAA arbitrations in the shipbuilding sector.

Abhinav holds a B.L.S. (First Class Honours) and LL.B. (First Class Honours) from Government Law College, Mumbai, and an LL.M. from Columbia Law School in New York.
