Joshua Chin

Joshua Chin is a Director in Drew & Napier's Dispute Resolution and Corporate Restructuring & Workouts practices, focusing on complex, high-value cross-border disputes, particularly within the digital assets ecosystem, as well as commercial and insolvency disputes and asset recovery.

He routinely acts for a variety of clients, including multi-national companies and state-owned entities, in court and arbitral proceedings. Notable matters include acting for state-owned enterprises in the oil and gas industry and obtaining a SIAC arbitration award in excess of US$200 million; acting for Defiance Capital and Arthur Cheong in a complex claim over digital assets valued in excess of US$120 million involving Three Arrows Capital Ltd (in liquidation); acting for one of the largest DAOs in relation to potential claims by investors; obtaining a SIAC arbitration award in excess of US$150 million in relation to a financing transaction; and acting for PetroChina International (Singapore) Pte Ltd in respect of a provisional liquidation to preserve a multi-million dollar investment in a joint venture.

Joshua holds an LL.B. (Hons) from the University of Nottingham (2015) and was admitted to the Singapore Bar in 2017.

He has been appointed as tribunal secretary in a number of SIAC arbitrations and has conducted SIAC and ICC arbitrations under the expedited procedure. Clients have described him as "thoughtful and client-centric" and "commercially-minded".
