Vanessa Lim

Vanessa Lim is a Senior Partner in Dentons Rodyk's Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice department, serving as Deputy Head of Litigation and Dispute Resolution and Co-Head of the Professional Liability/Healthcare practice, specialising in Medical Negligence Law. Her primary practice is civil litigation, with a particular focus on professional negligence and medical malpractice.

Vanessa has advised and acted for hospitals and doctors in medical negligence suits in both the High Court and State Courts, and represents medical practitioners in professional disciplinary proceedings before the Singapore Medical Council. She has worked with doctors across a wide range of practice areas, including neurosurgery, radiation oncology, obstetrics and gynaecology, ophthalmology, paediatrics, cardiology, general surgery, psychiatry and family medicine. She also advises healthcare institutions on internal processes and protocols, and serves as an institutional review board member and clinical ethics committee member for clinical trials.

Vanessa holds an LL.B. (Hons) from the National University of Singapore (2001) and an LL.M. in Medical Law with Distinction from King's College London (2011), where she was the prize-winner for best student in the course. She is also a non-practising solicitor of England and Wales.
