Amber Estad

Amber Estad is an Associate Director in Drew & Napier's Dispute Resolution practice group, focusing on commercial litigation and international arbitration. She specialises in cross-border commercial disputes and has extensive experience in complex, multi-jurisdictional matters.

Notable matters include acting in a dispute over a compulsory share transfer affecting the ownership of a Thai and Chinese joint venture company for an elevated expressway project in Bangladesh with an estimated construction cost in excess of US$1 billion; acting for a Japanese manufacturer against an Indian engineering company in a multi-million dollar arbitration over the supply of power transformers for a clean energy project in Sri Lanka, including a successful emergency arbitration application to prevent a bank guarantee call; acting for a Singapore-based investment firm in an international arbitration against an Indonesian businessman for damages estimated in excess of US$67 million; acting for a Philippines distributor in a Singapore-seated arbitration against an American multinational confectionary conglomerate; and acting for a Fortune Global 500 digital and technology company in a dispute over a US$107 million project for the development of customised software infrastructure.

Amber graduated magna cum laude from Singapore Management University (2016) and obtained an LL.M. in International Legal Studies from New York University. She was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore in 2018.

She was appointed as Young Independent Counsel by the Singapore High Court in 2023 and 2024 to address novel issues of law in two separate appeals.
