Bernie Lee

Bernie Lee is a Partner in the Capital Markets Practice at Allen & Gledhill, specialising in capital markets law, debt and equity capital markets, and corporate finance. He has extensive experience advising listed companies, business trusts, and unlisted companies on a wide range of equity and debt capital markets transactions, including initial public offerings, placements, rights issues, the establishment of debt issuance programmes, and offerings of straight debt, perpetual securities, preference shares, and convertible bonds.

Bernie has advised Singapore Technologies Engineering on the establishment of a S$5 billion Multicurrency Medium Term Note Programme and the first issue of US$750 million notes; NTUC Income on its establishment of a S$2 billion Euro Medium Term Note Programme and its first issue of S$800 million subordinated notes; and NetLink Trust on the issue of S$1.1 billion in qualifying project debt securities in connection with the S$2.3 billion IPO of NetLink NBN Trust, the largest IPO in Singapore since 2011. He also advised CitySpring Infrastructure Trust on its combination with Keppel Infrastructure Trust to create the largest Singapore infrastructure‑focused business trust with total assets of over S$4 billion, and acted as transaction counsel in the rights issue by Olam International of US$750 million in bonds with detachable warrants. He regularly advises listed companies on corporate exercises such as scrip dividend schemes, interested person transactions, and share repurchases.

Bernie holds an LL.B. (Hons) from the National University of Singapore. He was called to the Singapore Bar in 2005, joined the Firm in 2005, and has been a Partner since 2011. He is commended by clients as having "in depth knowledge", being "approachable", and providing "practical advice".
