Hu Huimin

Hu Huimin is a Director in the Dispute Resolution practice at Drew & Napier, specializing in Dispute Resolution with a focus on high‑value matrimonial proceedings, complex private client issues, and contentious family law. She also has a distinct niche in probate and estate matters, advising across both contentious and non‑contentious estate proceedings.

Huimin's experience includes advising on pre‑nuptial and post‑nuptial agreements, contested divorces, custody and maintenance disputes, high‑value asset division, and cross‑jurisdictional asset pools. In probate matters, she handles applications for grants of probate and letters of administration, revocation of grants, and disputes concerning the validity of Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, and testamentary instruments, including representation in complex multi‑day High Court probate trials involving allegations of undue influence and lack of testamentary capacity. She also regularly handles deputyship applications under the Mental Capacity Act. Notable matters include successfully acting for a husband in WGM v WGN [2025] SGHCF 23 on operative dates for division of matrimonial assets; defending a husband before the Court of Appeal in TBZ v TCA [2017] SGHCF 18; acting in a highly contested dispute on the validity of a Lasting Power of Attorney in WLR and another v WLT and another [2023] 5 SLR 1372; and representing the estate representative in Tsang Lolita v Personal Representatives of Eng James Jr [2024] SGHC 151.

Huimin holds an LL.B. (Hons) and a BBA (Hons) from the National University of Singapore and is an Advocate & Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore. She is an SMC Accredited Mediator and SMC Certified Family Mediator.
