Lin Ruizi

Lin Ruizi is a Partner at Shook Lin & Bok LLP, specialising in dispute resolution, international arbitration, and restructuring and insolvency. His practice encompasses cryptocurrency and Web3 disputes, investment and shareholder disputes, and commercial litigation, with extensive experience in cross‑border matters involving clients from China and across Asia.

Ruizi has acted for the interim judicial managers and liquidators of the Envy Group of companies, involved in the first alleged billion‑dollar fraudulent Ponzi scheme in Singapore's history; for Superpark Oy in unwinding the voluntary liquidation of its Singapore subsidiary, resulting in a landmark Court of Appeal judgment clarifying the ambit of provisional liquidations; for Humpuss Sea Transport (in liquidation) in recovering over US$170 million in claims against an Indonesian shipping company; and successfully opposed the sanction of a scheme of arrangement in a landmark Court of Appeal decision. He has also acted for multinational logistics conglomerates, cryptocurrency companies, PRC investors and directors, financial institutions, and high‑net‑worth individuals in complex commercial disputes, shareholder disputes, and regulatory investigations, and obtained a worldwide Mareva injunction for US$20 million in a high‑net‑worth family dispute.

Ruizi holds an LL.B (Hons) from the National University of Singapore (2016) and was called to the Singapore Bar in 2017. He has contributed to the Annotated Laws of Singapore and other publications on restructuring and insolvency.
