Sarjit Singh Gill, SC is a Senior Partner at Shook Lin & Bok LLP, specialising in arbitration and mediation. He has more than 40 years of experience in litigation and international arbitration, with a special focus on corporate and commercial disputes, banking and finance disputes, international trade disputes, and fraud. He has also been involved in numerous significant restructuring and insolvency matters, both domestic and cross‑border. He has an active international arbitration practice, both as arbitrator and counsel, and heads the firm's India Desk.

He has acted for The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation in a fraud claim against ex‑directors of Hin Leong Trading, successfully obtained judgment for the bank, and represented Standard Chartered Bank in defending a US$30 million letter of credit claim, demonstrating fraud by the beneficiary. He has acted for a regional bank in a fraud claim against a beneficiary, successfully resisted a US$280 million Mareva injunction against a high‑net‑worth client, and acted for a major Indian cooperative in an arbitration against a US‑listed company, obtaining an award against both defendants. He has been involved in major insolvency matters, including acting for the Judicial Managers of Armada (Singapore) Pte Ltd, representing the largest creditor bank in the judicial management of Swiber Holdings Ltd, and advising a group of banks on the US$2.2 billion restructuring of Drydocks World LLC. He also acted for the Appellants in a landmark Court of Appeal decision on mental capacity involving assets worth in excess of S$200 million.

He holds an LL.B (Hons) from the National University of Singapore (1976) and is admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore (1977) and as a Solicitor of England and Wales (2003). He was appointed Senior Counsel (SC) in 2004. He serves as an Independent Director of Seatrium Limited, a member of the Singapore International Mediation Centre Specialist Mediator Panel, the SIAC Panel of Arbitrators, the MAS Appeal Advisory Panel, and various review boards.
