He has been involved in major insolvency matters, including acting for the Judicial Managers of Armada (Singapore) Pte Ltd, representing the largest creditor bank in the judicial management of Swiber Holdings Ltd, and advising a group of banks on the US$2.2 billion restructuring of Drydocks World LLC. He also acted for the Appellants in a landmark Court of Appeal decision on mental capacity involving assets worth in excess of S$200 million.

He holds an LL.B (Hons) from the National University of Singapore (1976) and is admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore (1977) and as a Solicitor of England and Wales (2003). He was appointed Senior Counsel (SC) in 2004.
