Shalene Jin

Shalene Jin is a Partner at Allen & Gledhill LLP, specialising in real estate law with a focus on corporate real estate transactions. She advises on complex acquisitions, divestments, build‑to‑suit projects, indirect real estate investments through corporate structures, cross‑border transactions, leasing, and joint development arrangements across diverse asset classes, including commercial, industrial, retail, logistics, hospitality, energy infrastructure, and data centres.

She has advised a global energy giant on the divestment of all its 58 petrol stations in Singapore as part of the sale of its retail fuels business, and CAPGC Pte. Ltd. on the acquisition of Shell’s Singapore Energy and Chemicals Park. She also acted for IOI Consolidated (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. on the acquisition of a 50.1% interest in the commercial component of the South Beach mixed‑use integrated development based on an agreed property value of S$2.75 billion, and for Keppel Limited on the largest data centre transaction in Southeast Asia in 2024 involving the divestment of a data centre joint venture to Keppel DC REIT.

She is ranked by Chambers and Partners and recognised as a “notable practitioner” in IFLR1000. She was the sole winner of the Lexology Client Choice Awards 2024 in Real Estate, where nominations are open only to in‑house counsel. She holds an LL.B. (Hons) from the National University of Singapore and was admitted to the Singapore Bar in 2008. She joined the firm in 2008 and has been a Partner since 2015.
