Sophie Lim is a Partner at Allen & Gledhill LLP and Co‑Head of the firm's ESG & Public Policy Practice, specialising in corporate law. Her competencies encompass corporate regulatory compliance and corporate governance for private companies and SGX‑ST listed companies, as well as advising on listing Singapore companies on NYSE and NASDAQ, fundraising, employee equity incentive schemes, corporate reorganisations, and employment matters. She also advises on the corporate governance elements of ESG, shareholders' activism, and boardroom conflict resolution.

She advised Flipkart on its US$16 billion acquisition by Wal‑Mart, the largest e‑commerce acquisition in history at the time. She advised Avago Technologies on its US$37 billion acquisition of Broadcom Corporation, and Verigy on its US$1.1 billion acquisition by Advantest Corporation. She also advised NASDAQ‑listed Flex on the spin‑off of Nextracker and Israel Corporation on the spin‑off and dual‑listing of Kenon Holdings on NYSE and TASE with an appraised value of US$1.06 billion. She regularly advises foreign corporations on setting up a presence in Singapore, corporate restructurings, joint ventures, and directors' duties and liabilities.

Sophie holds an LL.B. (Hons) from the National University of Singapore and was admitted to the Singapore Bar in 1997. She joined the firm in 1997 and has been a Partner since 2004.
