He has acted for the liquidators of a former SGX-listed company to wind up another company on just and equitable grounds, resisted the setting aside of a statutory demand in a case that was upheld on appeal, and acted for a financial institution in a contested mortgage application involving a property valued at more than S$14 million. He has also acted for a digitised trade finance platform in HKIAC arbitration proceedings involving a Chinese state‑linked entity, and for a foreign high‑net‑worth individual in SIAC arbitration proceedings involving a claim for breach of a share sale agreement, which was upheld by the Court of Appeal in Karan Chandur Tilani v Maarten Hein Bernard Koedijk and another. He also assisted a coalition of more than 16 banks to resist various moratorium applications filed by Agritrade International Pte Ltd in connection with an aggregate debt of more than US$1 billion, and acted for DBS Bank in obtaining summary judgment in relation to a claim for S$500,000.

Walter is an Accredited Mediator with the Singapore Mediation Centre and serves as an appointed Mediator with the Ministry of Law Community Mediation Centre. He previously taught mediation at Singapore Polytechnic. He has published articles on mediation and contributed to Halsbury's Laws of Singapore volumes on Bankruptcy and Insolvency. He is a member of the Ministry of Defence Pro Bono Panel and frequently volunteers with Justice Without Borders and various initiatives under Pro Bono SG.

He holds an LL.B (Hons) from the National University of Singapore (2019) and a BA (Hons) from Yale-NUS College (2019). He was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of Singapore in 2020 and is fluent in English and Mandarin.
