Alwyn Tan

Alwyn Tan is a Partner in Dentons Rodyk's Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice group, specialising in Dispute Resolution. His practice encompasses a wide range of civil and commercial matters with a particular focus on Family Law and Construction Law.

Alwyn has acted as lead counsel in various contentious matters before the State Courts, Family Justice Courts and the High Court. In construction law, he has represented real estate developers, main contractors and subcontractors, and is well-versed in the adjudication regime under the Building and Construction Industry Security of Payment Act (SOPA). In family law, he has handled complex matrimonial matters involving asset pools of around S$12 million, inter-spousal loans and child custody, including resisting a child's return to the Netherlands under the International Child Abduction Act. He also frequently represents clients in mediation and has a strong track record of settling disputes through ADR.

Alwyn graduated from the National University of Singapore with an LL.B. (Hons) in 2018 and was called to the Singapore Bar in 2019. He is a member of the Law Society of Singapore and the Singapore Academy of Law, and serves as an Assigned Solicitor of the Legal Aid Bureau and a Volunteer under the Law Society's Ad Hoc Pro Bono Assessment Scheme.
