Belle Tan

Belle Tan is an Associate Director in the Dispute Resolution practice at Drew & Napier, handling complex, high-value commercial litigation and arbitration matters. She represents and advises multinational corporations and high-net-worth individuals in contentious matters involving fraud, shareholder disputes, cross-border enforcement, investigations, and criminal proceedings, and regularly appears in arbitration-related court proceedings including the securing and discharge of injunctions and enforcement and challenge of arbitral awards.

Notable matters include acting for Hin Leong’s liquidators in the largest reported fraudulent trading case in Singapore, successfully securing a judgment of the full claimed sum of US$3.5 billion after a 51-day trial; successfully representing the Singapore subsidiary of a shipping and mining conglomerate against a claim by former employees for more than US$70 million in unpaid profit shares, dismissed in its entirety on the last day of trial; acting for a multinational biotechnology company and its founder in an application to discharge a US$730 million worldwide freezing injunction in support of a US$860 million ICC arbitration claim; and acting for a major technology company in the enforcement of a HKIAC arbitral award exceeding US$200 million, obtaining a Mareva injunction and securing seizure and sale of the respondent's Sentosa property.

Belle holds an LL.B (Hons) from the National University of Singapore (2019), where she was placed on the Dean's List, and was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore in 2020. She attained two distinctions in the Singapore Bar Examinations and was ranked joint 6th in her cohort.
