Kelvin Teo

Kelvin Teo is a Director in Drew & Napier's Dispute Resolution and Construction & Engineering practices, specialising in resolving complex infrastructure, energy and resource disputes. His sector experience spans renewable energy projects—from offshore and onshore solar farms, wind, hydropower and geothermal plants—to nuclear power plants, oil and gas projects, refineries, mines, railways, expressways and major attractions.

He has advised on projects across Greater China, Mongolia, the Middle East, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Laos, Philippines, Taiwan, the US, Italy, France and India. Notable matters include advising the developer of one of the largest solar farms in Singapore on contracts and disputes during the construction phase; acting for a multi-national conglomerate in a multi-party ICC arbitration arising from a Philippines geothermal power plant project; acting for a contractor in an LCIA arbitration in a billion-dollar dispute relating to the construction of a nuclear power plant; and acting for a major Italian contractor in two ICC arbitrations seated in Singapore arising from a Lao hydropower project.

Kelvin holds an LL.B. (Hons) from the National University of Singapore (2004) and was admitted to the Singapore Bar in May 2005. He is a Fellow of the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators and sits as an arbitrator and empanelled mediator.

He is recognised in The Legal 500, the Experts Guide, and The Arbitration Power List: Southeast Asia (2022, 2023). He heads the Thought Leadership subcommittee of the Society of Construction Law (Singapore) and sits on the Building and Construction Law Committee of the Law Society.
