Wendell Wong

Wendell Wong is a Director in Drew & Napier's Dispute Resolution Department and Co-Head of both the Investigations and Criminal Law Practice. He is a highly respected senior civil, commercial and criminal lawyer, with a practice encompassing contracts and commercial disputes, shareholder and director disputes, asset recovery, medical negligence, product liability, cybersecurity-related matters, and cross-border arbitration work. His criminal practice focuses on commercial and business crime, anti-money laundering, fraud, securities, cyber fraud, corruption, corporate governance-related offences, investigation and private prosecution work.

He regularly engages in regulatory and compliance advisory work, including anti-fraud and anti-bribery investigations for multinational and listed companies. He has acted as lead counsel in numerous disputes and international arbitrations under the rules of the SIAC, ICC and UNCITRAL, and as lead counsel in the Singapore International Commercial Court (SICC). He is on the panel of lawyers representing various embassies in Singapore, including those of the United States and Qatar.

Wendell holds an LL.B. (Hons) from the National University of Singapore (1997) and is an Advocate & Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore. He is also a Solicitor of England & Wales (2002).

He is recognised by Chambers Global as a leading practitioner in dispute resolution and for his regional work related to the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, and by Who's Who Legal as one of the top Business Crime Defence, Investigations and Commercial Litigation lawyers in Singapore. He is a member of the Criminal Procedure Rules Committee and was appointed to the Penal Code Review Committee by the Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of Law. He serves as Treasurer of the International Bar Association's Anti-Corruption Committee and is a Board member of the Housing & Development Board (HDB).
