Chen Zhihui

Chen Zhihui is a Director in the Dispute Resolution practice group at Drew & Napier, focusing on domestic and international commercial disputes, with particular expertise in matters arising from construction, infrastructure, energy, offshore and marine projects. He is experienced in litigation, arbitration, adjudication, and mediation.

He has acted on a wide range of high-value matters, including disputes relating to a gas-fired power plant project in Bangladesh, an onshore wind farm project in Vietnam, and a prestigious mixed-development project in Singapore. He has also advised on arbitration proceedings under CIETAC with claims in excess of US$30 million, resisted applications to set aside arbitration awards, and handled international trade and share purchase arbitrations. In addition to contentious work, he regularly advises clients on transactional and advisory matters, including contract drafting, employment issues, and corporate restructuring.

Zhihui holds an LL.B (Hons) with First Class Honours from the University of Southampton (2015), where he was the top student in his first and second year and received several academic prizes including Best Dissertation, and a BBA from the National University of Singapore (2012). He was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore in 2017.

He is recognised by The Legal 500 Asia Pacific for International Arbitration and Construction, by Lexology Index as a Future Leader in Commercial Litigation, and by Asian Legal Business in its ALB Asia 40 Under 40 list. He is fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese.
