Chengyi Hong

Chengyi Hong is a Partner in Dentons Rodyk's Banking and Finance practice, specialising in Banking and Finance Law. He advises local and international banks, financial institutions, corporates and REITs on secured and unsecured financing, bilateral, club and syndicated loan transactions, with a focus on corporate banking, acquisition financing, and real estate and asset-related financing.

Chengyi has acted on numerous significant financing transactions, including advising a syndicate of lenders on over S$1.1 billion facilities for a mixed-use development in Chencharu Close, a syndicate of lenders on approximately S$700 million green loan facilities for an executive condominium development in Jalan Loyang Besar, and a club of lenders on approximately S$400 million green loan facilities to Frasers Centrepoint Trust. He has also advised on cross-border financings, onshore-offshore transactions and the financing of hotels, heritage properties and commercial developments in Singapore, the UK, Australia and Japan.

Chengyi holds an LL.B. and an LL.M. from University College London (2013, 2014).

He is recognised as a key lawyer in Banking and Finance by The Legal 500 Asia-Pacific (2026) and was named one of Singapore's Most Notable Lawyers under 40 by Singapore Business Review (2024).
