Cher Han Toh

Toh Cher Han is a Partner in Dentons Rodyk's Litigation and Dispute Resolution and Arbitration practice groups, specialising in banking and insolvency litigation, medical malpractice disputes, and commercial arbitration.

He regularly acts for financial institutions and court-appointed insolvency professionals in complex restructuring and insolvency matters. Notable matters include acting for a major European bank in a US$37 million fraudulent misrepresentation claim involving Hin Leong Trading Pte Ltd (In Liquidation); acting for a group of banks in the restructuring of a Singapore public listed company's debts across Singapore, Malaysia and China; and acting for a regional bank in the restructuring of a ship-owning company with liabilities close to US$1 billion. He has also acted for insurers, hospitals and medical practitioners in medical malpractice disputes and regulatory matters, including successfully defending a neurosurgeon in a S$2.5 million malpractice suit and representing a plastic surgeon in obtaining costs against the Singapore Medical Council.

Cher Han holds an LL.B (Second Class, Upper) from the National University of Singapore (2015), where he was a Kent Ridge Scholar and awarded the Clifford Chance Prize in International Commercial Arbitration. He was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore in 2016.
