Deborah Wong

Deborah Wong is a Partner in the Banking & Finance practice at Shook Lin & Bok LLP, specialising in Banking and Finance Law. She acts for and advises financial institutions and borrowers on a range of domestic and cross‑border transactions, including real estate financing and acquisition financing.

She has acted for the lender in the S$338 million acquisition of Changi City Point retail mall, the syndicated part‑financing of a S$429 million acquisition of a land parcel at Lentor Gardens, the S$115 million refinancing of a property loan secured by a 4‑star hotel in Orchard Road, and the S$560 million refinancing of a property loan secured by a shopping mall in Singapore. She has also acted for an SGX‑listed borrower in its financing for the acquisition of an established engineering firm, and for the lender in financing the acquisition of a 5‑star hotel in New Zealand. Her practice spans property financing, corporate acquisitions, cross‑border transactions, and infrastructure and industrial development financings across Singapore, the UK, Australia, and Indonesia.

Deborah holds an LL.B (Hons) from the Singapore Management University (2015) and was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of Singapore in 2016. She is recognised as a Rising Star in Banking and Finance by Asialaw Profiles (2024‑2025) and as a partner who leads major engagements for big‑name clients in The Legal 500 Asia Pacific. She is fluent in English and Mandarin.
