Javier Yeo

Javier Yeo is a Director in the Intellectual Property & Dispute Resolution practice at Drew & Napier, specializing in Intellectual Property Law. He handles complex IP disputes across industries including pharmaceuticals, chemical and mechanical engineering, and semiconductors, and also practices in company law, contract law, defamation, and employment law.

Javier has been involved in numerous high‑value and landmark IP matters. He successfully represented IIa Technologies Pte Ltd, a leader in lab‑grown diamonds, in a patent infringement suit against Element Six Technologies Ltd (a De Beers subsidiary) in IIa Technologies Pte Ltd v Element Six Technologies Limited [2023] SGCA 5, one of the most complex patent infringement cases heard by the Singapore courts, and obtained more than S$3 million in costs for the defendant. He has acted for a Fortune 10 company in a high‑value patent infringement claim involving Bluetooth technology, for KuDOS Pharmaceuticals Limited (AstraZeneca subsidiary) in a patent‑linkage matter for Olaparib, for Singapore Airlines in trademark actions for its iconic "Singapore Girl" mark, and for Eisai Co Ltd in the first global litigation for HALAVEN. He has also acted in complex corporate matters involving breach of directors' duties, minority shareholder oppression, and equitable winding up, and has been appointed as a mediator for a multi‑million estate dispute across multiple jurisdictions.

Javier holds an LL.B. (Hons) from the National University of Singapore and was admitted to the Singapore Bar in August 2016. He was named the regional Rising Star of the Year at the Legal 500 Southeast Asia Awards 2023 and identified as an outstanding young lawyer in Asian Legal Business (ALB)'s "40 under 40" survey (2024).
