Jun Rong Lim

Jun Rong Lim is a Senior Associate in Dentons Rodyk's Intellectual Property and Technology practice group, specialising in Intellectual Property Law. His practice spans the full lifecycle of intellectual property, including global portfolio strategy, prosecution and registration, enforcement and infringement actions, and the commercialisation and monetisation of IP rights. He also advises on commercial technology transactions, data protection and cybersecurity compliance.

Jun Rong has acted for global pharmaceutical companies, including Merck and Lundbeck, in Singapore High Court patent infringement and validity disputes, for Chinese F&B brand HEYTEA in a successful trade mark invalidation action against a bad‑faith registrant, and for a leading Singapore lighting company in a complex infringement action involving copyright and layout‑design rights. He has conducted IP due diligence for a S$235 million investment in a global experience entertainment company and advised on AI‑related copyright and regulatory issues.

Jun Rong graduated with First Class Honours from the Faculty of Law of the National University of Singapore, where he was awarded the Lai Kew Chai Prize as the top student in Equity & Trusts. He was ranked 3rd out of 677 candidates in the Singapore Institute of Legal Education Part B examinations, obtaining Distinctions in Intellectual Property Law and Insolvency Law. He also holds a B.A. (Honours) from Yale‑NUS College.
