Kelvin Tan

Kelvin Tan is a Director in the Dispute Resolution practice group at Drew & Napier, co-heading the firm's Employment and Hotels & Leisure practices. He has an active practice in commercial litigation and international arbitration, handling complex disputes across a wide range of areas including insurance, intellectual property, fraud, breach of fiduciary duties, investment and shareholder disputes, and trusts.

He has represented clients in international arbitrations under the rules of the SIAC, ICC, LCIA, AIAC and UNCITRAL. Notable matters include representing a listed electronics manufacturer in an SIAC arbitration against a European principal in a US$120 million dispute arising from smartphone development and manufacturing agreements; representing a leading international insurer in an SIAC arbitration against a bank in a dispute exceeding $10 million arising from the termination of a bancassurance distribution agreement; successfully representing a leading European business software house in an US$80 million joint venture dispute before the SIAC; and acting for a component manufacturer in an LCIA arbitration in a US$60 million dispute over an OEM contract for telecommunications transmission products.

Kelvin holds an LL.B. (Hons) from the National University of Singapore and was admitted to the Singapore Bar in 1995.
