Lawrence Teh

Lawrence Teh is a Senior Partner and the Global Co-Head of Dentons' International Arbitration Group, specialising in Arbitration and Mediation. He also co-heads Dentons Rodyk's Litigation and Dispute Resolution and Shipping practices. He has particular experience in commercial disputes involving international trade and commodities, maritime and aviation, banking and financial services, onshore and offshore construction, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and other investments, and associated insurance issues.

Lawrence advises clients and acts as lead counsel in the Singapore courts, in arbitration, mediation and other forms of dispute resolution. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators, and is regularly appointed as an arbitrator in international disputes under the rules of major institutions including the ICC, SIAC, LCIA, HKIAC, SCMA and KCAB. He is also a Master of the Bench (Overseas) of the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple and currently serves as Administrator of the Comité Maritime International (CMI).

Lawrence holds an LL.B. (Hons) from the University of London and has been a Senior Partner at Dentons Rodyk & Davidson LLP since 1994.

He is consistently ranked as a leading individual by Chambers Asia-Pacific and Chambers Global for Shipping and Dispute Resolution, and is recognised in the Hall of Fame for Shipping by The Legal 500 Asia-Pacific. He has been named by Best Lawyers in Singapore as Lawyer of the Year for Arbitration and Mediation (2023) and is recognised across multiple practice areas including Construction, Shipping and Maritime Law, and Trade Law.
