Melissa Huang

Melissa Huang is a Partner at Shook Lin & Bok LLP, specialising in capital markets law with a focus on debt capital markets. She regularly advises issuers, arrangers and dealers, and trustees and agents on a wide range of debt capital market transactions, including medium‑term note programmes, standalone bond issuances, and liability management exercises.

Melissa has substantial experience advising corporate and sovereign issuers, managers, and underwriters on the listing of foreign debt securities on the SGX and on the issuance of qualifying debt securities. She has acted for various SGX‑listed issuers including CapitaLand Retail China Trust, iFAST Corporation, Aspial Corporation, Centurion Corporation, and Q&M Dental Group on the establishment and update of their MTN programmes; for arrangers, dealers, and trustees in connection with programmes for F&N Treasury, SMRT Capital, and OUE Treasury; and for Sabana Industrial REIT on its inaugural sustainability‑linked bonds. She has also acted for issuers in tender and exchange offer exercises and consent solicitations.

Melissa holds an LL.B (Hons) from the National University of Singapore (2012) and was called to the Singapore Bar in 2013.

She is recognised as a Notable Practitioner in Capital Markets: Debt by IFLR1000 (2025) and a Recommended Individual in Capital Markets by The Legal 500 Asia Pacific (2023, 2026), with clients noting that she "brought senior insight and strategic guidance to every key decision point".
