Mohamad Rizuan Bin Pathie

Mohamad Rizuan Bin Pathie is a Partner at Dentons Rodyk, practicing in the Corporate group and serving as Co-Head of the Competition & Antitrust and Islamic Finance practices, specializing in Mergers and Acquisitions. His practice encompasses corporate commercial law, competition and antitrust law, white collar and government investigations, and Islamic finance transactions, with a wide scope of corporate transactions including M&A, employment issues, and general corporate advisory work.

Rizuan has advised on significant M&A and competition law matters, including acting in the record infringement decision by the Competition and Consumer Commission of Singapore (CCCS), which imposed its highest ever financial penalty of almost S$27 million against 13 fresh chicken distributors; advising Danfoss A/S on its acquisition of the Singapore hydraulics business of Eaton Industries Inc. in a global transaction valued at US$3.3 billion; advising Panasonic Corporation on its joint venture with Skyworks Solutions Inc. and on the sale of three subsidiaries to UTAC Manufacturing Services Limited for US$116.5 million; and advising Schibsted Classified Media AS and Dover Corporation on cross‑border transactions. He has also advised clients on cartel investigations, leniency applications, and merger clearances.

He holds an LL.B (Hons) from the National University of Singapore (2010) and a Bachelor of Social Sciences (Hons) from the same institution (2007). He is also a Chartered Islamic Finance Professional (CIFP), accredited by the International Centre of Islamic Finance (INCEIF), Malaysia. He was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor in Singapore in 2011.
