Tan Teng Sen

Tan Teng Sen is a Director in the Corporate & Finance practice at Drew & Napier, specializing in Mergers and Acquisitions. His practice encompasses mergers and acquisitions, private equity, joint ventures, fund raising, corporate governance, and general corporate matters, and he regularly advises Singapore listed companies on Singapore Exchange rules.

Teng Sen has advised corporates, private equity funds, venture funds, and family offices across diverse industries including consumer markets, healthcare, real estate, logistics, transport, cybersecurity, and technology. Notable transactions include advising Evercore Asia as independent financial adviser to the independent directors of Global Logistic Properties on its S$16 billion acquisition by Nesta Investment Holdings—Asia’s largest private equity buyout to date, awarded M&A Deal of the Year by Asian Legal Business and Asian Lawyer. He also advised COSCO SHIPPING International on its S$488 million acquisition of Cogent Holdings; StarHub Ltd on its joint venture with a Temasek subsidiary to form Ensign InfoSecurity, one of Asia's largest cybersecurity companies; Chuan Hup Holdings on the S$203 million disposal of its stake in PCI Limited; and Constantia Flexibles as Singapore counsel on the €1.15 billion sale of its Labels division to Multi-Color Corporation. Prior to joining Drew & Napier, he started his career at a major Singapore law firm, spent time at a large Japanese law firm in Tokyo, and was in‑house counsel at an international bank.

He holds an LL.B. (Hons) from the National University of Singapore (2006) and was admitted to the Singapore Bar in 2007.
