ONG Sin Wei

Ong Sin Wei is Co-Head of the WPGrow: Start-Up / Venture Capital Practice and a Partner in the Mergers & Acquisitions, FinTech and India Practices, specialising in mergers and acquisitions (M&A). He advises clients on cross-border M&A, joint ventures, corporate and investment fund restructuring, fund formation, and venture capital and start-up matters, with particular expertise in the FinTech, asset management, investment funds, and insurance sectors. He is recognised for his expertise in Corporate M&A and Start-ups & Emerging Companies by Chambers Asia-Pacific, The Legal 500, and IFLR1000.

He has extensive experience in corporate and corporate finance matters, including cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and fund restructuring. Prior to joining WongPartnership, he trained and qualified as an English solicitor in London with a leading UK international firm, where he worked for about a decade in London, Beijing, and Singapore. He also worked in Washington DC and Hong Kong with a leading US international firm and a Magic Circle law firm.

Ong Sin Wei holds an LL.B. (Hons) from the University of Birmingham, UK and an LL.M. from the University of Pennsylvania School of Law, U.S. (with Distinction for thesis). He is admitted to the Roll of Solicitors of England & Wales and to the Singapore Bar.
