Sean Sim

Sean Sim is a Partner in the dispute resolution practice of Dentons Rodyk, specialising in Dispute Resolution. He has acted for individuals, institutions and listed company subsidiaries at all levels of the Singapore Court and has an active arbitration practice administered by the SIAC, ICC and JAMS. His experience spans commercial and corporate disputes, as well as insurance, employment, digital assets, and supply and construction matters.

Sean has successfully represented a NYSE-listed software company in enforcing a non-compete against its former APAC executive, obtaining an interim injunction in the Singapore High Court. He has acted for Singapore's largest appliance distributor in defeating a negligence and product liability claim, for a consulting engineering firm in a dispute with Singapore's Ministry of Home Affairs over a national defence infrastructure project, and for a contractor in claiming for work done and defending against counterclaims. In arbitration, he successfully acted for the owners of a fleet of private aircraft in a SIAC-administered arbitration and for a NASDAQ Helsinki-listed marine industries company in an ICC-administered arbitration. He is also acting in a widely-publicised US$150 million dispute under JAMS International Arbitration Rules involving a token merger agreement.

Sean graduated from Singapore Management University with an LL.B. (Hons) in 2017, where he captained moot teams that won multiple international competitions, including the Frankfurt Investor-State Arbitration Moot. He contributed to the second edition of "A Guide to the SIAC Arbitration Rules."

He is recognised as a key lawyer in Insurance by The Legal 500 Asia-Pacific (2025–2026).
