Suchitra Ragupathy

Suchitra Ragupathy is a Partner in Dentons Rodyk's Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice group and Co-Head of the Family/Matrimonial practice, specialising in Family Law. An active trial lawyer with 32 years of experience, she has made numerous appearances before the High Court and the Court of Appeal as lead counsel since 1993.

Suchitra's practice focuses on matrimonial law and contentious trust and probate matters. She has handled high-profile divorces and custody cases, including high-publicity-risk matters, foreign marriages and the division of matrimonial assets running into tens of millions of dollars. Recent successes include acting for a client to defeat a S$13 million claim based on sham agreements in Chiang Ai Ling v Tan Kian Chye [2024] SGHC 330, and obtaining an 85% division of matrimonial assets in favour of the wife in WRZ v WSA [2023] SGHCF 51. Her experience includes representing high-net-worth individuals across law, finance, medicine, real estate, business and public service.

Suchitra holds an LL.B. (Hons) from the University of Hull (1989). She is a certified collaborative lawyer and previously practised commercial litigation, which informs her strategic approach to financial structures and valuation issues in family law matters.

She is recognised as a Litigation Star in Family & Matrimonial by Benchmark Litigation Asia-Pacific (2025–2026).
