TAN Ming-li

Tan Ming-li is a Senior Partner in the Corporate and Capital Market Practice Group at Cheang & Ariff, a member of WPG. She specialises in capital markets law, corporate and securities law, with extensive experience in equity capital market transactions, corporate finance, takeovers, mergers and acquisitions, debt and share restructuring schemes, financial and securities regulation, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance.

She is consistently recognised by independent publications as a leading individual for her corporate and capital markets work and is named as Malaysia's Top 100 Lawyers by Asia Business Law Journal. She has been lauded in Chambers Asia‑Pacific as a “highly competent leader who understands clients' needs and requirements,” with clients commenting that “her work is consistent, collaborative and strongly client focused.” She also serves as a member of the Disciplinary Committee of the Advocates & Solicitors’ Disciplinary Board of Malaysia and is the co‑author of “Capital Markets: Discipline & Misconduct” (LexisNexis, 2019).

She graduated with a double degree in Law (Hons) and Science from the University of Melbourne and was called to the Malaysian Bar in 1994.
