Teri Cheng

Teri Cheng is a Director in the Corporate & Finance practice at Drew & Napier, specializing in Bankruptcy and Insolvency Law. She advises debtors, creditors, and insolvency office-holders on various aspects of insolvency and debt restructuring.

Teri has been involved in some of the region's most significant restructuring transactions. She advised Pacific Andes and its subsidiaries in its US$2.5 billion debt restructuring (awarded Finance Deal of the Year at The Asian Lawyer Asia Legal Awards 2017); Bumi Resources in its US$5.23 billion debt restructuring (Finance Deal of the Year: Insolvency & Restructuring at The Asian Lawyer Asia Legal Awards 2018); Heliconia Capital Management (part of Temasek Holdings) on its US$600 million investment for the restructuring of Pacific International Lines; KrisEnergy Ltd on its restructuring; acted for the Securities Investors Association (Singapore) representing preference shareholders and perpetual security holders in Hyflux's S$2.64 billion restructuring; advised Ezra Holdings on its US$1.49 billion restructuring involving parallel Chapter 11 and Singapore Companies Act processes; and advised Emas Offshore on its US$910 million restructuring. She also advised the judicial managers of Bilcare Singapore and ING Bank on the receivership of the OW Bunker Group's Singapore entities.

She holds an LL.B (Hons) from the National University of Singapore (2011) and was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore in 2012.
