Wu Geng

Wu Geng is a Director in the Corporate & Finance practice at Drew & Napier, specializing in Mergers and Acquisitions. His areas of practice include IPOs and listings, M&A, and general corporate legal advisory work.

Wu Geng has been involved in numerous significant transactions, including acting as Singapore Legal Advisor for Haidilao International Holding Ltd. on its US$964 million IPO on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange; acting for PetroChina International (Singapore) Pte Ltd in its acquisition of Singapore Petroleum Company, valued at S$3.2 billion and named Singapore M&A Deal of the Year 2010; advising on reverse takeovers, rights issues, and fund management applications; and advising on initial coin offerings and the regulatory status of tokens under Singapore's Securities and Futures Act.

He holds an LL.B in Economic Law and International Economic Law from Beijing University (1995), a Master of Comparative Law from the National University of Singapore (1999), and an M.A. in Political Science and International Relations from the University of Delaware (2001). He was admitted to the Singapore Bar.

Prior to private practice, Wu Geng practiced law with the PRC Supreme People's Court for several years. He has been in the legal profession in Singapore for more than 20 years, with extensive experience in both Singapore and China.
