Yap En Li

Yap En Li is a Director in the Dispute Resolution practice at Drew & Napier, focusing on civil and commercial dispute resolution. Her broad-based experience spans litigation, arbitration, and alternative dispute resolution.

She regularly advises financial institutions and commercial entities in the course of their business dealings. Notable matters include acting for a foreign state entity in the recovery of investment funds seized by the Singapore authorities; acting for an Indian conglomerate before the Singapore International Commercial Court relating to the construction of offshore oil rigs; acting for a local property developer before the High Court and Court of Appeal in a case concerning the torts of malicious prosecution and abuse of process (Lee Tat Development Pte Ltd v Management Corporation Strata Title Plan No 301); acting for a foreign bank to enforce its security against a commodities trader engaged in double financing fraud; acting for an Indonesian investment company relating to fraud and conspiracy to divert profits from a multinational group of coal mining companies; and acting in SIAC and ICC arbitrations relating to jack-up drilling rigs, share purchase agreements, and telecommunications infrastructure projects.

En Li holds an LL.B. (Hons) from the University of Manchester (2014) and was admitted to the Singapore Bar in 2016. She was named a "Recommended Lawyer" by The Legal 500 Asia Pacific in 2022.
