Zachary Tong

Zachary Tong is an Associate Director in the Dispute Resolution practice group at Drew & Napier, specializing in Dispute Resolution. He has acted in both civil and commercial matters as well as criminal matters, representing clients at both the Singapore Supreme Court and State Courts levels.

Zachary has acted in a wide variety of criminal matters, representing clients in offences including commercial crimes, corruption, cheating, money laundering, customs offences, physical crimes, and road traffic offences. He has also advised and represented individuals and corporations in contractual and commercial disputes, banking and finance, breaches of fiduciary or directors' duties, and property disputes. Notable reported cases include Chang Peng Hong Clarence v PP [2024] SGCA 58 (a criminal reference before the Court of Appeal on penalties under the Prevention of Corruption Act), Wong Mei Lee Millie v Ngor Shing Rong Jake [2026] SGCA 27 (successfully resisting a claim for beneficial ownership of property), Wang Fumin v Citibank Singapore Ltd [2022] SGHC 106 (successfully resisting a multi‑million dollar claim involving fraudulent misrepresentation and negligence in FX and gold trading), and PP v Naresh Kumar (successfully obtaining an acquittal after trial for offences under the Corruption, Drug Trafficking and Other Serious Crimes (Confiscation of Benefits) Act).

He holds an LL.B. (Cum Laude) from Singapore Management University (2019) and was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore in 2020.
