CHONG Hong Chiang

Chong Hong Chiang is Head of the China Practice and a Partner in the Equity Capital Markets Practice at WongPartnership, specialising in capital markets law, cross-border transactions, and China-related mergers and acquisitions. She advises on equity capital market transactions, including initial public offerings, placements, rights issues, and general corporate matters, with a particular focus on Chinese businesses listing in Singapore, dual listings across Hong Kong and Singapore, and Taiwan listings.

Hong Chiang started practising law in 1999. She subsequently left legal practice for a number of years to serve as an independent consultant, where she focused on fund-raisings, listings, joint ventures, general corporate transactions, and M&A activities in the China market, providing holistic solutions to her clients. She was retained as a consultant to a provincial state-owned enterprise under the State Owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, advising on overseas listings and joint ventures with foreign businesses.

Hong Chiang holds an LL.B. (Hons) from the National University of Singapore and is admitted to the Singapore Bar.
