Chua Bor Jern

Chua Bor Jern is a Partner at Allen & Gledhill, specialising in capital markets law, real estate investment trusts, and mergers and acquisitions. He advises on acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate actions, and capital markets transactions across a broad range of areas, including data centres, hospitality, healthcare, and student accommodation.

Bor Jern has been involved in advising on complicated and notable transactions, with particular expertise in REITs and real estate transactions. He has been described by The Legal 500 as "the preeminent REIT and real estate lawyer in Singapore, with an unparalleled database on practical deal and situational knowledge" and by Chambers Asia‑Pacific as having "deep local knowledge and excellent relationship with issuers and regulators". Bor Jern holds an LL.B. (Hons) from the National University of Singapore and was called to the Singapore Bar in 2000. He is also admitted to the Roll of Solicitors of England and Wales (2003). He was formerly Chief Editor of the Singapore Law Review and was conferred "Friend of Labour" by the Singapore National Trade Union Congress for his contributions to the labour movement.
