Christopher Koh

Christopher Koh is a Partner and Deputy Head of the Corporate Mergers & Acquisitions Department at Allen & Gledhill LLP, specialising in Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A), private equity, and corporate advisory work for financial institutions and public companies listed on the Singapore Exchange. He is also Co‑Head of the firm's Healthcare, Life Sciences & Pharmaceuticals Practice, with particular expertise in public takeovers, private investments in public equity, and privatisations.

He has acted for Rohto Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. and Mitsui & Co., Ltd. on the S$800 million acquisition of Eu Yan Sang International Ltd, and advised Doctor Anywhere Pte. Ltd. on its approximately S$109 million acquisition of AsianHealthcare Specialists Limited. He advised the REIT manager of SPH REIT in relation to the approximately S$1.4 billion chain principle offer by Cuscaden Peak Pte. Ltd., and acted for CapitaLand Mall Trust in its US$8.2 billion merger with CapitaLand Commercial Trust. He also advised IHH Healthcare Berhad on its approximately US$1.1 billion acquisition of a controlling stake in Fortis Healthcare Limited, and acted for Avago Technologies in its acquisition of Broadcom for approximately US$37 billion, which was awarded "Deal of the Year" at the ALB SE Asia Law Awards 2016.

Christopher holds an LL.B. (Hons) from the National University of Singapore (1999) and an LL.M. from Columbia University (2002), where he graduated as a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. He is admitted to the Singapore Bar (2000) and the New York State Bar (2004). He is the Principal Examiner for the Mergers & Acquisitions section of the Singapore Bar Examinations and is recognised as a leading lawyer for Corporate/M&A by Chambers Global, Chambers Asia‑Pacific, IFLR1000, The Legal 500 Asia Pacific, and Lexology Index. He is also listed among Singapore's Top 100 Lawyers by Asia Business Law Journal.
