Michelle Tan

Michelle Tan is a Partner | Corporate at Lee & Lee, focusing on Mergers and Acquisitions. She is qualified to practise law in England & Wales, Singapore and Gibraltar.

Her areas of expertise include mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, advising listed companies on regulatory, governance and compliance matters, as well as acting for financial institutions, issuers and trustees in debt capital markets transactions. She also has extensive experience advising educational establishments, from pre-schools to tertiary institutions and statutory authorities, and has advised various charities on a pro bono basis.

Her case highlights include representing a British business services group listed on the London Stock Exchange in a series of acquisitions in Singapore; acting in the S$100 million divestment of a group of companies in the healthcare sector; representing a government-owned company in its joint venture with an established developer listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand; the establishment of a US$2 billion listed Euro medium term note programme by a property and investment holding company listed on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange; and the establishment of a S$1 billion debt issuance programme by a property developer listed on the SGX-ST.

Michelle holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the National University of Singapore (1997) and was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore in 1998 and as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales and of Gibraltar in 2003. She is a member of the Law Society of Singapore and the Singapore Academy of Law.
