Joseph HO Yan Jun

Joseph Ho Yan Jun is a Partner in the China Practice and Mergers & Acquisitions Practice, specialising in corporate finance, equity capital markets, foreign investment, mergers and acquisitions, and property development in the People's Republic of China (PRC). He advises clients on cross‑border M&A, capital market transactions, and corporate restructuring, with a strong focus on China‑related matters.

He has been recommended as a foreign expert in Singapore with expertise in the PRC by Chambers Global since 2012, and as a leading corporate/M&A lawyer in the PRC by asialaw since 2014. Clients have praised him for being “very responsive and efficient” and for providing “specific and full responses to the issues raised.” He presents and participates in panel discussions at regional and local conferences on PRC‑related topics, and sits on the Advisory Committee for the China‑Ready Programme for Singapore's Legal Industry organised by the Ministry of Law Singapore. He is a member of Business China and the Law Society of Singapore's Inquiry Panel.

Joseph holds a Bachelor of Arts from Yunnan University (PRC), a Master of Laws from China University of Political Science and Law in Beijing, a Master of Laws from McGeorge School of Law, University of the Pacific (U.S.), and an EMBA from Tsinghua University PBC School of Finance. He was also a Visiting Scholar at Columbia University School of Law (U.S.) from 1990 to 1991. He is admitted to the Bar of the People's Republic of China.
