Aris Budi Prasetiyo

Aris Budi Prasetiyo is a Partner (Foreign Law) at Allen & Gledhill, specialising in mergers and acquisitions, corporate and commercial law, banking and finance, and cross‑border investments. He has worked for more than 10 years in Jakarta, Indonesia, advising clients on complex M&A, joint ventures, and regulatory matters across Southeast Asia.

Aris has advised Hengtong Optic‑Electric International on the acquisition of a 42.97% stake in PT Voksel Electric Tbk for US$26.9 million; CapitaLand Investment's wholly owned unit, The Ascott Limited, on its acquisition of Oakwood Worldwide's hotel and serviced residence business in Indonesia; Equinix on a joint venture with PT Astra Digital Internasional for the development of retail data centres in Indonesia; and investors on Series B (US$35 million) and Series C (US$55 million) convertible notes in Pluang Technologies. He has also advised Great Eastern General Insurance on its acquisition of PT QBE General Insurance Indonesia for US$31.5 million, Logos Indonesia Logistics Venture on US$120 million loan facilities from IFC, and United Overseas Bank on the refinancing of US$200 million facilities to an Indonesian institution.

Aris holds a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania (with a Certificate in Business and Public Policy from Wharton School), a Master in Professional Accounting from the University of Texas, Austin, and a Bachelor of Law (Sarjana Hukum) from Universitas Terbuka, Indonesia. He is a Certified Public Accountant in Texas and a member of the Indonesian Advocates Association (PERADI) and the California Bar Association.
