Christopher Ong

Christopher Ong is a Partner in the Mergers & Acquisitions Practice at Allen & Gledhill, specialising in mergers and acquisitions, public take-overs, and private equity. He has extensive experience acting for offerors and target companies in public take-overs, schemes of arrangement, and delistings, and advises listed issuers on regulatory and compliance matters. His practice also encompasses banking transfers, having advised financial institutions on both the acquisition and disposal of banking business.

Christopher has advised Keppel Corporation on its privatisation of Keppel Land by way of a voluntary general offer; Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation on the acquisition of the private wealth management business of Barclays Bank in Singapore and Hong Kong; and Singapore Technologies Semiconductors (a wholly owned subsidiary of Temasek) on the disposal of its stake in STATS ChipPAC.

Christopher holds an LL.B. (Hons) from the National University of Singapore and was called to the Singapore Bar in 2002. He joined the firm in 2002 and has been a Partner since 2008.
