Corinne Chew, Dr

Dr. Corinne Chew is a Director in the Corporate & Finance practice and Co-Head of the Competition Law & Regulatory Practice at Drew & Napier, specializing in Competition Law. Her experience extends to all areas of competition law, including merger notifications, leniency applications, and CCCS investigations.

Corinne has assisted multinational and local companies in setting up competition law compliance and audit structures, dawn raid and whistle‑blowing programmes, and conducting audit checks across a wide range of industries, including aviation, technology, manufacturing, and financial services. In the aviation sector, she has provided competition law, regulatory, and licensing advice on air services agreements, airline operations, airport services, and asset transfers.

Notable matters include obtaining clearance from the Competition and Consumer Commission of Singapore (CCCS) for the acquisition of TNT Express N.V. by United Parcel Service, Inc.; obtaining clearance for Seagate Technology PLC's acquisition of certain assets of Samsung Electronics' hard disk drive business; advising a ball‑bearing manufacturer on CCCS investigations; and providing advice to a statutory body on amendments to its Competition Code and Guidelines.

Corinne also has extensive corporate experience in contractual and regulatory advice for listed and unlisted companies. She is a qualified solicitor (currently non‑practising) and holds a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Cambridge.
