Desiree Lim

Desiree Lim is a Partner in the Competition & Foreign Investment Review Practice at Allen & Gledhill, specialising in competition law, merger control, and antitrust advisory. She has close to a decade of experience advising clients on a broad range of antitrust issues, including merger control, cartels, and abuse of dominance, across sectors such as financial services, aviation, real estate, technology, and semiconductors.

Desiree has advised on landmark transactions including Grab Holdings Inc. in the groundbreaking CCS infringement decision against its acquisition of Uber's Southeast Asian business; London Stock Exchange Group on its US$27 billion acquisition of Refinitiv, securing a conditional Phase 2 clearance; CapitaLand on the US$7.5 billion strategic restructuring and demerger of its investment management platforms; Korean Air Lines on the US$1.6 billion acquisition of a majority stake in Asiana Airlines; and Intel Corporation on the US$9 billion sale of its NAND memory business to SK hynix. Between 2021 and 2023, she was involved in over 40% of merger reviews conducted by the CCS, with combined transaction values exceeding S$100 billion.

Desiree holds an LL.B. (Hons) from King's College London (2015) and was called to the Singapore Bar in 2017.

She is ranked as an "Up and Coming" practitioner for Competition/Antitrust in Singapore by Chambers Asia-Pacific, a "Future Leader" by Lexology Index: Competition Future Leaders – Partners 2025, and a "Rising Star" by The Legal 500 Asia Pacific (2023).
