Dorothy Marie NG

Dorothy Marie Ng is a Partner in the Corporate Real Estate Practice at WongPartnership, specialising in real estate law, property transactions, and real estate finance. Her practice spans nearly four decades of the full spectrum of property and property‑related matters, encompassing acquisitions, dispositions, leasing and development of land (including residential, commercial and industrial properties), sorting out complicated title, sales by mortgagees and management corporations, and secured financing.

Dorothy advises a diverse clientele, including banks, co‑operatives, financial institutions, private and public corporations, funds, real estate investment trusts, individuals, partnerships, and statutory boards. She has worked on secured financings, projects, joint ventures and developments, asset and business acquisitions, restructuring, and built‑to‑suit projects. Her experience also extends to advising on property‑related aspects of corporate transactions and cross‑border investments.

Dorothy holds an LL.B. (Hons) from the National University of Singapore and is admitted to the Singapore Bar and the Roll of Solicitors of England & Wales.

She has been a member of the Disciplinary Tribunal appointed by the Chief Justice under the Legal Profession Act since 1995 and is a member of the Compliance Committee of the Singapore Institute of Legal Education since its inception in 2011. She is also a member of the Valuation Review Board appointed by the Minister for Finance (2021) and a member of the Panel of Adjudicators of the Law Society's Expedited Adjudication Scheme. She is consistently recognised as a leading real estate lawyer by Chambers Asia‑Pacific, The Legal 500 Asia Pacific, asialaw Profiles, Best Lawyers, and Lexology Index, and was awarded "Best in Real Estate" at the Euromoney Asia Women in Business Law Awards in 2015 and 2016.
