Foo Jia Yu

Foo Jia Yu is a Counsel at Allen & Gledhill, specialising in investment funds, capital markets, real estate investment trusts (REITs), and business trusts. She advises fund managers, financial institutions, property developers, and professional trustees on the establishment and closings of private funds, fund regulatory matters (including licensing and offering requirements), and compliance in Singapore.

Jia Yu has acted for the manager of OUE Commercial REIT in the approximately S$1.49 billion merger of OUE Commercial REIT and OUE Hospitality Trust by way of a trust scheme of arrangement; MTC Japan Investment Private Limited in the approximately S$1.26 billion divestment of 79 Robinson Road; and the manager of CapitaLand China Trust in its approximately S$1 billion acquisition of five business park properties in China. She has also worked on the establishment of a Singapore umbrella VCC fund, a private pan-Asia infrastructure fund with over US$4 billion in commitments, and advised Manulife Investment Management on its investment in GLP Vietnam Development Partners I, L.P., a logistics development fund with an investment capacity of US$1.1 billion.

Foo Jia Yu holds an LL.B. (Hons) from the University of Manchester (2015) and was called to the Singapore Bar in 2017.
