Hazel Guardado

Hazel Guardado is an Associate at A&O Shearman in Singapore, focusing on Banking and Finance Law. She has experience advising lenders and sponsors in domestic and cross-border financing transactions, particularly in the infrastructure, energy and resources sectors.

Her expertise covers project development and finance. Her representative matters include advising Opus Solar Energy Corp. on the US$253 million financing for a solar energy project in the Philippines (awarded ‘Solar Deal of the Year – APAC’, IJGlobal Awards 2026); advising ADB and seven other development finance institutions on a US$820 million loan to Gulf Renewable Energy Co., Ltd. to finance twelve renewable energy projects in Thailand; and advising EdgeConneX Inc. on US$403.8 million sustainability-linked facilities for a data centre in Jakarta, Indonesia (awarded IJ Global “Digital Infrastructure Deal of the Year” in 2024).

She also advised Pilbara Minerals Ltd on its AUD1 billion senior secured revolving facility, and AdaniConneX on the US$1.44 billion sustainability-linked financing of five data centres in India, the largest data centre financing in India.

Hazel is involved in pro bono work with the Financial Counsellors’ Association of WA, The Australian Water Safety on the Mekong Project, and Enitiate Incorporated. She holds a Master of Legal Practice from The University of Western Australia, a Master in Economic Law from Sciences Po, and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Cornell University. She was admitted as a solicitor in Western Australia in 2023 and speaks English and French.
