Joel Lim

Joel Lim is a Partner in the Corporate practice of Dentons Rodyk, specialising in Mergers and Acquisitions. He advises on a broad range of corporate and transactional matters, with a particular focus on domestic and cross-border M&A, private equity investments, joint ventures, corporate governance and regulatory compliance across industries including insurance, financial services, manufacturing, real estate and technology.

Joel has acted for vendors, acquirors and financiers on significant transactions, including advising GlobalFoundries Singapore on its strategic collaboration with Applied Materials, advising Ripple on its acquisition of a 40% stake in Tranglo Sdn Bhd, and acting for Oxley Holdings Limited in the S$1.025 billion sale of Chevron House. He also has extensive experience in fintech and regulatory compliance, advising payment service providers, digital asset platforms and financial institutions on licensing, AML/CFT requirements and corporate governance frameworks, including advising PayPal on its proposed acquisition of BitGo and OCBC on its asset tokenisation platform.

Joel holds an LL.B. (Hons) from the National University of Singapore (2015) and was admitted to the Singapore Bar in 2016. He is a member of the Law Society of Singapore.
